2009 MOSAICGLOBE CREATIVITY COMPETITION .01

Call for entry
MosaicGlobe's Creativity Community Competition is juried event open to MosaicGlobe artists in the areas of photography, traditional mediums, visual design, decorative and functional Arts. All submissions are accepted and will be reviewed. Work will be judged on the creativity and overall artistic quality of the entire body of work presented on your MosaicGlobe website.

Key to Winning: Works of art will be judged by reviewing the images, text and/or files of your MosaicGlobe website for originality, presentation, creativity and technical proficiency. Quality content such as good images of your work is key to your presentation, as is making full use of the MosaicGlobe application.

Important dates
All applications must be submitted by:   APRIL 01, 2009
Winners will be notified by  APRIL 30, 2009
Winners will be posted online on MAY 01, 2009

Who is eligible to apply?
The MosaicGlobe Creativity Competitions are open to all professional and amateur artists practicing the art forms listed below. Applicants must have a MosaicGlobe website. Free accounts included. There is no entry fee for the competition.

NOTE: Please do not enter the competition if it is prohibited in your area, if you are a minor (less than 18 years of age), or if you do not have access to PayPal account in your country.

Who decides which artists receive awards?
Applicant websites are reviewed by professional artists in each art form, their comments are then forwarded to the MosaicGlobe Committee who reviews recommendations and then makes the final award decisions.

Competition categories and awards
These categories are generalized to accept a full range of creative styles, subject matter and mediums. Select an area that your work may fit best. Multiple categories are permitted. 

Photography
Includes all categories of photography including traditional, digital and manipulated 
Prize:  $250*
3 Honorable Mentions: $75*

Traditional Mediums
Painting, drawing, collage, print-making, mixed media, sculpture, etc.
Prize:  $250*
3 Honorable Mentions: $75*

Decorative and/or Functional Art
Includes ceramics, wood, paper, glass, fabrics, knitting, furniture, furnishings, interior design, and architecture. 
Prize:  $250*
3 Honorable Mentions: $75*

Visual Art and Design
Illustrative & Commercial marketing material and Digital Art including 3D rendering and comics
Prize:  $250*
3 Honorable Mentions: $75*

*Award recipients can choose to receive their payment in the form of a Visa gift card or as a deposit into their PayPal account. Notifications are via email. All applicants must provide a valid email address.

3. Next, fill out and submit the application form (You may enter your work in any and all categories).
