Is there any way I can add off-site links to the site navigation bar on a free account?

There is an undocumented way to do it. You can add a link to the title like this:

<a href="http://www.mosaicglobe.com">mosaicglobe</a>

The only thing that shows up is the text and the link goes to where you
want it to.
