isn't the image viewer size quite small?!

when the visitor clicks the thumbnail the image ... well it sure would be nice to see it a lot larger. as an artist wishing to use mosiaic globe as a primary portfolio, i am concerned that visitors cannot really see the work in a large enough view to impact?

i assume there is no setting to enlarge...am wondering if there are any plans to offer a larger viewer?

Daniel - We intend to include a flash based slideshow viewer that will display at about 600 pixels. Thanks - Danny

Hey Danny-

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Can I just say that while I love the idea that there will be a slideshow, is there a reason why the main image view can not be larger?

I feel very strongly about this. It's too small. And forcing someone into the slideshow option is not what many visitors would want.

I am thinking of using this as a primary portfolio site - but it really holds me back to think that gallery owners will be seeing this tiny image, with no easy way for them to see a larger more accurate representation.

Could it not become a pref setting? Frankly less than 800 or thereabouts is quite small. Most people in the visual arts world have larger monitors as well, and therefore the current size is even smaller on their screen. Squinting size.

I don't know, isn't this about showing and basking in the beauty of the art?

** Why make it diminutive? **

Does anyone else feel this way?

By the way - I absolutely love the functionality of the site and think it's fantastic in all other ways. Sorry to sound whiney, I just really want to make this a home-base...but....this is really a big deal from my perspective.

Thanks for anyone listening :)

ahh well i see now that if you don't use the lightbox feature then you get full size images.

nice.

however, let me still vote for adding a setting that uses the lightbox but with fullsize image :) for me, best of both worlds ...and those who are concerned about their work being stoled can use the current lightbox.

Yes! This is my concern as well. The images need to be viewed better. I also really like the functionality of this site. It is great for those of us who are not web designers! Thanks, Kristina A. Lutes Portraits for Charity
