Hi everybody!
Need your advice!
I have sent my webpage to many private galleries in Moscow (I live in Moscow, Russia) and got answers like: "It is very nice, but we are not interested in your participating in any our exhibition". But one guy wrote me an advice: "you pretty pictures will not find a market. The public is not interested in them. If you will paint something special as dead bodies - it will be much more popular."
This was an advice to me... I don't know. I paint what my soul tells me. I am not the person, who paints dead bodies just to "find a market".
What do you think: are the people interested only in some scandal and outstanding art? Or there are still some people that still need nice pictures?
What shall I do?

geez - that's like the exact opposite of your work. Don't change to try and meet a gallery's clientele. Rather find a gallery whose buyers are interested in your subjects.

I agree with Danny. Galleries can be a bit snooty at times. Find a gallery that you will enhance and inturn the gallery enhance your work. Good Luck

galleries are formed to showcase a style... dont form your style to showcase a gallery.

but seriously, you will find an interested market. just my 2 cents though, you should create work for yourself, selling it is a bonus!
