What To Pack For Your First Cruise Vacation?
Is this your first time going on a cruise? Are you wondering what to pack for your first cruise vacation ever? It can be the worst part of your vacation but if you create a packing list of the necessary things to be brought with you, packing or even unpacking is not that tough actually. There are things you should bring with you and there are also certain items that you might don’t need. Picking things that are really necessary can be a hard task to accomplish if this is your first time vacation on a cruise.
We have a few simple tips to follow on what to pack for your first cruise vacation :
Important Things For A Cruise Travel
The essentials would include your airline tickets, documents for your cruise vacation, passports and visas, as well as the proof of your citizenship. Before you go for your cruise travel, it is advisable that you check your cruise line regarding the required documents to be brought together with you. Other than that, you can also include your certificate of vaccination, driver’s license (just in case you would like to rent and drive a car while onshore), medical history and insurance cards, a copy of your complete list of medicinal prescriptions, and a few extra pictures of government-issued ID. As for your money, you should bring with you your ATM cards, credit cards, cash and prepaid phone cards (if you wish to purchase before you arrive at the destination). All of your documents should be printed twice and you should have extra copies of everything just in case the original documents get lost during your vacation. Make sure that you’ve written down the emergency numbers back at home, the contact numbers of companies or individuals where you can lodge a report for lost or stolen credit cards, etc.
List of Packing Necessities
Other than your clothes, this will include your reading material, electronic equipment, medicine kit and a few other “random” things you want to bring with you. If you have trouble with your sight, ensure to bring your glasses and contact lenses. You can also bring some of your reading material such as the guidebooks or your favorite novels. Bring with you your notebook or journal and pen or pencil. Plug adapter and converter are very important for all of your electronic items. Do not forget to bring your cell phone’s charger and a few extra batteries for your digital camera.
Other things you should consider includes travel alarm clock, extension cord or power strip for multiple plug-ins, dual-time zone watch, small first aid kit, hand lotion, sunscreen and lip balm. If you ever need them, you can also consider bringing sport gears such as for snorkeling, sewing kit and scissors, empty folding bag to bring souvenirs, scissors and sewing kit, caps or hats, and mini umbrella. One important thing to note is that whenever you are traveling together with your spouse, children or a companion, always divide your items between two or more suitcases. This way, if one of them ever get lost somewhere, you will still have another suitcase full of your belongings. Do not put all of your spouse’s clothes in just one bag. Always divide between the bags accordingly and you will be totally fine with it.
